

Shradha attained a bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bangalore, India. Then her Ph.D. in Molecular and cellular biology from the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC). She joined Tucker Lab in January 2025. She comes to us with experience from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, India as a research assistant exploring the role of various miRNA in oral squamous cell carcinoma. During her Ph.D. she studied G Protein signaling capabilities of various GPCRs. Her role in the IVR includes working on the quality control pipeline for gene therapies as well as their post treatment efficacy and immune response testing. In addition, she is also working on using in-vitro and Bioinformatic approaches to understand the molecular mechanisms of ocular diseases. Outside of lab Shradha enjoys cooking, reading, and listening to music.
