Lorena has been with Tucker Lab since 2023. She graduated from Fluminense Federal University in Brazil with a medical degree before doing a residency in opthalmology at Federal University of Minas Gerais and fellowships in Strabismus at Federal University of Minas Gerais and at University of Rochester. Lorena has experience working as a pediatric ophthalmologist and surgeon as well as a research assistant on projects focused on congenital eye diseases.

 

Lorena is a postdoctoral researcher who primarily focuses on the safety and efficacy of therapeutics that the IVR is developing for their patients. Outside of work, Lorena enjoys spending quality time with her daughter.
