Erin (she/hers) joined the Tucker Lab in November of 2011. Erin is a Research Scientist with a Bachelors in Biology from Cornell College, a PhD in Genetics from the University of Iowa, and over 15 years of experience working in the gene therapy field. She has worked in lung and liver gene therapy with Dr. Paul McCray and has helped the Tucker Lab develop viral vectors for therapeutic gene transfer to patient-derived retinal cell cultures and retinal degenerative animal models. She currently focuses on disease modeling and vector development for gene editing and gene augmentation therapy to treat inherited blinding diseases.
